About our Director, Jeff Kramer
By combining his two
decades of experience in health care education, communication, and
marketing with broadcasting, Jeffrey Kramer operates his own multimedia
production company, called Kramer Communications, to produce a variety
of multimedia products. He has worked as a freelance producer, writer,
shooter, and sound technician for his own projects and those of
other multimedia production companies, while also serving on camera
crews for CNN, NBC Dateline, Inside Edition and HGTV.
Jeff's work has been honored with the prestigious Beacon Award from the National Cable and Telecommunications Association for a short documentary for Comcast Communications. It featured High School Students from Montgomery County and their interactions with Holocaust Survivors entitled Passing the Knowledge. His documentary on Frederick Douglas aired on CSPAN's "Famous Author" series and his video for the American Methadone Treatment Association, called "The Joy of Being Normal" received the Communicator Award of Distinction.
With his avocation as a Volunteer Firefighter, Emergency Medical Technician, he produced and received recognition for recruitment videos and PSAs for the Prince George's County Fire and Rescue Association featuring ABC Sportscaster Johnny Holliday entitled Be Part Of It. He also produced two videos for the National Institution on Drug Abuse (NIDA) on Smoking Cessation, and one interactive video on science education for second and third grade students. Prior to his career in broadcasting, Mr. Kramer was an association executive and provided advocacy and leadership on Capitol Hill. He is the founder and former Executive Vice President of the National Treatment Consortium (NTC) and provided leadership in addressing challenging issues and initiatives of the payment, purchase and delivery of treatment for addictions and mental illness.
